Introduction
Here at Garstang Free Methodist Church we are a group of ordinary people from varied walks of life who have come to know Jesus Christ in a real and personal way.
We believe that Jesus has given all people the opportunity for a new life, this new life is offered when you turn from a way of life that is not under Jesus’ control, we ask you to put your faith and trust in him alone for life and eternity, and come under his lordships control.
We believe that all people need to receive by faith this gift of eternal life that is freely offered. We stand within the mainstream of protestant Christianity, believing that faith in Jesus Christ and what he has done for us in dying on the cross to take away our sins is alone sufficient for salvation and eternal life.
We are part of the worldwide Free Methodist Church, which holds to the mainstream of Methodist understanding, stretching back to the founder of Methodism, John Wesley.
As a church we hold to Evangelical Christian belief, holding the Bible in high regard as God’s word, trustworthy throughout, and our authoritative guide to the way we live, day in day out.
